I’ve been using these to store grapes (large container) and mini carrots (small container) for a couple of weeks now. Easy to wash the grapes and store them. Easy to clean containers between batches of produce.I Really liked the idea of this product. A container that allowed me to wash the fruits and then store them. We had the rubbermaid containers (with the green insert at the bottom), and they are great containers but you can't use them to wash fruits also.Anyway. These containers are remarkably thin/flimsy. I suspect they will crack on the first minimal drop. The rubbermaid ones are must better built.Husband likes fresh berries with his cereal every day, but they would get mushy when stored in a plain plastic food storage container. With the drain tray in this one his berries stay fresher longer, not so mushy so quickly. I just ordered another for myself.So far I've used these for blueberries, grapes and raw vegies cut up for munching on. Things stayed nice and crisp. The grapes I separated - some in this container and some in a metal bowl. The ones in this container stayed fresh and crunchy longer than the ones in the bowl.These containers are perfect for washing and storing small/medium fruits and vegetables. I will take one of the colander pieces out to my gardens, pick some vegetables, and then come inside and wash them in the container. Then I can just place the colander with the washed vegetables in the bin and put the cover on to store in the fridge.I have a 5 year old who is old enough to get his own snacks....but not adequately wash grapes. Now I buy a bag, wash them, & toss them in here! Seems to keep them fresher much longer too, compared to storage in bag.have salads every day, needed storage to keep lettuce fresh longer.I was expecting something a little different from the pictures. If you use these with the strainer in it you cannot see at all what is inside. I was hoping for something similar to a set I got a costco that had a basket for humidity and draining but also is truly crystal clear. I got these as a warehouse deal or otherwise I'd be sending them back. I don't think they are worth the regular price.
