Typically, we would get about 2 1/2 gallons of cider from a pressing when we used the hand operated apple grinder mounted on the press (we had to quarter all apples before grinding them). With the electric crusher, we were getting over 4 gallons! Easy and quick to use. Only had to pre-cut very large apples.Easier to clean than the press mounted grinder!One thing: the gasket that seals the sleeve to the base is difficult to hold in position when installing the sleeve.Recommended!
